Accessing the Radio and Position Card
To access the Radio and Position Card, tap the 🎧 button in the EasyVFR 4 interface. This button is located in the bottom bar, providing quick access to essential communication and position-related information.
Â
Departure and Arrival Frequencies
The Radio and Position Card displays all radio frequencies in order of usage for your departure and arrival airfields, allowing for quick and easy communication during these critical phases of flight. This includes frequencies for ATIS, Approach, Tower, Ground, and other relevant frequencies if available in AIP.
Â
"Now" and "Next" Airspace Information
As you progress on your flight, the Radio and Position Card keeps you updated with the "Now" and "Next" airspace information. This feature displays the name, class, type, squawk code, frequency (if applicable) and remarks of the airspace you are currently in ("Now") and the airspace you will enter next ("Next"). This information is presented in an easily digestible format, with crucial actions prominently highlighted for straightforward in-cockpit understanding.
Â
Airspace Activation Status (Live, Pro, and FFM)
EasyVFR Live, Pro, and FFM users can directly view the Airspace Activation status (Dynamic Airspace Mapping) within the Radio and Position Card. This feature provides real-time awareness of airspace status, enhancing situational awareness and decision-making. The activation status is indicated by color-coding and clear labels, allowing you to quickly assess whether an airspace is active or inactive.
Â
Departure and Arrival Duration Settings
The duration for which an airfield is considered a departure or arrival location is based on the Departure and Arrival Duration settings. These settings can be found in the context menu of the Auto Zoom feature. To access these settings, select the compass icon → Auto Zoom. Adjusting these settings allows you to customize how EasyVFR determines your departure and arrival airfields, influencing the frequencies displayed in the Radio Card.
